THIS MONTH’S LETTER: WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER IN IRAQ!
Violence against civilians and violations of international law have
continued in Iraq. U.S. military casualties have diminished somewhat,
and it appears that many people—including politicians—have stopped
worrying about the war. We can’t let this happen. Current policies will
not succeed in bringing democracy to Iraq; they will only result in the
deaths of more U.S. troops and more Iraqis. There is no military solution
to the ongoing tragedy in Iraq. War is not the answer. The war
against Iraq was wrong in 2003, and it’s wrong now!
We must continue to press for a U.S. exit from Iraq!
Write to your members of Congress and to the President and tell
them you are totally opposed to the war against Iraq. Don’t let the
war become “business as usual!”
