This major mobilization represents a huge joint effort involving SOA Watch, Colombia Coalition, and the National Youth and Student Peace Coalition. Call 585-414-4274 for local organizing information. [There are many groups with excellent web pages about this action. One of them is <www.a20stopthewar.org/>]Tired of Paying for War? Change the Rules! Fr. Carl Kabat is back in prison!
Years ago GVCP chose Fr. Carl as our special Prisoner of Conscience. Fr. Carl’s original conviction was for the Silo Pruning Hooks direct disarmament action in 1984. He was released on probation, but what we consider good behavior—trespass at a Colorado nuclear missile silo in August, 2000—was considered a probation violation by the US government. Fr. Carl returned to prison 8/13/01, and will be released 8/14/02. WRITE letters of support to Fr. Carl Kabat, #03230-045, FCI Greenville, POB 5000, Greenville, IL 62246.Renew your GVCP membership
: $20.00/year. [We do not expect dues from sister groups, or from any groups with which we exchange newsletters.] Most members have renewed. If you haven’t , PLEASE PAY NOW!Peace,
