MORE ABOUT IRAQ The US peace movement unanimously condemns President
BushÕs invasion of Iraq. How we
get out of this mess is not so easy to answer. Opinions range from ÒBring the troops home now,Ó to ÒWe must
leave a stable and reconstructed Iraq behind when we go home.Ó Friends Committee on National
Legislation leans towards the latter view. Whether you agree or not, itÕs worth logging on to their
website <http://www.fcnl.org/>.
Follow the prompts to the statement ÒWar in Iraq: Finding a Way Out
of the Quagmire.Ó Once youÕve
decided on your position, call
Pres. Bush, 202-456-1111 and tell him what you think.
You need GVCP and GVCP
needs you.
ItÕs time to renew your
membership in GVCP. GVCP is a smallÑbut vocal and activeÑregional peace
group. WeÕve been in existence
since 1972, and current events prove that GVCP is needed now more than
ever. Dues this year are $25.00 (more if possible, less if necessary). If your mailing label says 1/03, you
paid your dues last year, and itÕs time to pay again now. If your label says 1/02, you didnÕt
pay, but weÕve sent you the newsletter anyway. If there is no date or a * on your label, youÕve never paid
dues; now is the time. We do
not request or expect dues from other organizations with which we exchange
newsletters, or from any of our overseas sister peace organizations. Student affiliates should fill out the
form below, but need not pay dues.
GVCP supports its work all year with membership dues. Please pay your share.
