SUNY Geneseo Policy on Firearms

Here is a petition put forward by the SUNY Geneseo group infoSHARE.
It concerns President Dahl’s recent decision to authorize campus
police officers to carry firearms. For many years, President Dahl
has resisted the pressure to change his policy about firearms.
The question as I see it now is, Can this policy be reversed?
If so, petitions like this are one method to achieve this reversal.
