St., Rochester. Vigil to remember the 20th anniversary of the murders of
the six Jesuits and two women in El Salvador. The murderers were graduates

This month’s call or letter: Stop the war in Afghanistan.

The direct cost of the war in Afghanistan is $105 billion this year!
Thousands have been killed in the fighting—many of them Afghan civilians.
Military occupation prevents reconstructive efforts. Contrary to what many
people think, the war is not helping Afghan women achieve their human
rights. The costs of the war are too high!

Call Sen. Gillibrand at 202-224-4451 or Sen. Schumer at 202-224-6542. Ask
them to lead the movement to fund domestic priorities instead of endless
wars.
